| About Me:
I was born in St. Paul, Alberta and spent my childhood in Red Deer, and like most people, have many great memories of growing up in a small town. I spent a big part of my early adulthood working hard and saving my money to indulge my passion for travel. I spent many months traveling throughout Southeast Asia and the Philippines.
I moved to Kelowna, or more specifically the Westside of Kelowna, in 1985. I had the good fortune of being able to stay at home and raise my three children (Nicole now 20, Eric 18 and Katrina 14) and be involved with every aspect of their childhood, a privilege that I will always cherish. Once they got a little older, I felt it was important for me to get involved with some of the organizations that make a difference in our community and the education of our youth. I served on the executive of many local sports and school organizations, as well as becoming a driving force behind the Westbank Youth Referendum of 1998. In 1998 I found myself a single parent and returned to the workforce and held several sales positions with some of the finer local businesses, including Mission Hill Winery and Okanagan Life Magazine, to name a couple. It became apparent that a career in sales was my calling and I made the switch to a Real Estate career in 2002. It is the most rewarding career decision that I could ever have made. I am one of the lucky ones who can truly say that I love what I do, because I have a challenging and rewarding job, and I love working with people. My greatest reward comes from helping people make the right choice regarding the purchase or sale of their home. The joy I receive from my clients when we find the right home, or find a buyer for their home, is amazing. The beauty of it is...I'm just doing my job.
In 2006, I was blessed to be re-married to Kerry Roberts and also became the parent of Steven 15. Together we blend as a large family and my greatest joy is creating lasting memories with them all. In my spare time I like to stay active with some of the many wonderful activities available here in the Okanagan. I enjoy skiing, golf, hiking, waterskiing and I'm always eager to try new things. I enjoy travelling, as I've mentioned before, as well as fine dining, socializing with friends, and sometimes just cuddling on the couch to watch a good movie with my family. I feel so blessed to have such a great life and a great family, and I still have some dreams and items on my life "to-do" list that are yet to be fulfilled. Along the way I hope to brighten as many people's lives as I can, if even with just a smile.
I have received many awards within the industry which include the prestigious Royal LePage Diamond Award - 2007, The Award of Excellence - 2007, Director's Platinum Award - 2004 & 2006, President\'s Gold Award - 2003 & 2005, as well as a Silver Tommy Award for Salesperson of the Year (2007) for my work with Eagle's View in Peachland, BC.
